Fernweh Press is a small, independent book publisher focused on LGBTQIA+ fiction. Composed of indie authors, our goal is to help promote books that fall under the LGBTQIA+ umbrella.

about our name

Fernweh (pronounced 'fern-wee') is a German word that means farsickness. It describes a deep longing or aching to travel to faraway places. It is an urge to see the world and experience new things, a pull, if you will, towards the unknown. It is sometimes translated as wanderlust.

We chose the word to represent our brand as a way to convey the idea that readers can travel to new places & meet new people through our stories.

Our logo is composed of a compass, a lighthouse, and an open book. It is meant to evoke discovery and direction through literature.
